idea one of the countless ways to self-awareness is through awareness of one’s mortality, or one’s temporality, so to speak. this realization softens the heart, even though it comes with pain. pain comes in different ways, but one wouldn't argue that living in a country at war provides pain in numerous ways and provides it regularly-constantly. it makes one think about the inevitable death of everyone one loves and cares about. sooner or later. it’s just that war makes the probability of “sooner” much higher and constantly reminds of it: in talks of strangers, news, birthday wishes, and pop songs. they say we can only share what we have in abundance, we’re sharing the feeling of our temporality through this material (by)product of our cognitive development.
our lives are temporary, therefore we act contemporary because nothing is permanent, but if you’d love to be eternal, just start again

[we are basic needs]
(this name comes from very personal, almost inside-joke-type communication, of two grown-ups who make a married couple. The joke comes like this «The more self-aware, idealistic, active, naive, honest and playful we become, the less we’re able to cover our material «basic needs», it feels like we become less prone to compromise senses for money. It’s not fun! So we’re here to fulfill our «basic needs», whatever they are, and share something with the world, instead. They say we can only share what we have in abundance, the only good we have in abundance are ideas*. They also say ideas don’t cost anything, also they say you can sell anything these days. You see, it’s not that easy to grasp how all this eCoNoMy thing works. In a nutshell - we have a lot of thoughts, they generate a lot of ideas, and some have a potential for material form. We call them Material byproducts of our Cognitive development.)
